Straight answers on what is covered, what is not, and what happens if something goes wrong. No small print surprises at handover.
Compulsory Thai third-party cover (พ.ร.บ.) on every vehicle. First-class insurance on all cars. Two helmets with every scooter and motorcycle. 24-hour roadside assistance anywhere on the island.
Cars carry an excess per incident — the first portion of any repair bill is yours, the insurer covers the rest. The exact figure is on your rental agreement and we tell you before you book. Two-wheelers are not comprehensively insured.
Held against damage, fuel and traffic fines, and returned the same day the vehicle comes back clean and undamaged. Passport is never held as a deposit — that practice is illegal and we do not do it.
Riding or driving without the correct licence class. Any alcohol in your system. Off-road use. Letting anyone not named on the agreement drive. In each case the insurance does not apply.
Call us first, before you move the vehicle. We come to you, handle the police report and the insurer, and arrange a replacement where we can. Do not sign anything at the scene.
We photograph every vehicle with you at handover and note existing damage on the agreement. Anything on that record is not charged to you.
